Well since my birthday (June 2) has come and gone, yet again, I thought I'd post about what I and the family did for my fun day.
Since it was Saturday and we get up early anyhow we decided to get out and do our work on the front yard stone wall project early. I removed all the overgrown juniper plants from the edge of the driveway and removed most of the flagstone type rocks. I dug some of the slope back in preparation for the stone wall base. Melissa and the young boys were digging dandilions and playing on the steps. We were able to get a good 2 hour block of time before everyone was hungry again... Time to head back into the house.
Next, Matthew and I did some needed yard work in the back with the trimmer and clippers.
Then it was time for burgers and potatoes on the grill. After dinner it was too hot to be out side so we all started in on the painting project in the basement. Matthew and I got quite a bit done on that front. I still have the 2nd coat to do, which will be put on tomorrow.
All in all a good birthday even if I did cook for my self :-)
Oh yea I even opened my present to myself, the small embeded 486. Now to get the rest of the LAN up and working first...
