Finally a solution to the breakfast bread situation around here.
For some time now our boys have been hooked on pumpkin bread and yogurt for breakfast. Ever since this, the infamous pumpkin shortage, I have been searching for a substitute.
About 2 months ago my wonderful wife thought up this variation of our pumpkin bread recipe and it has worked thus far.
Baby Food Surprise Bread -or- Big Fat Surprise Bread
(BFS bread)
Cook at 350 for 50 minutes. 2 loaves.
- 2 c Sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 4oz jars squash baby food stage 2
- 1 4oz jars sweet potato baby food stage 2
- 1 c Olive Oil
- 3 c Flour
- 1 t ground cloves
- 1 t ground nutmeg
- 1 t baking soda
- 1/2 t salt
- 1 T cinnamon
